How I Learned to Write

Picture
There are only a select number of times I can clearly remember my big moments in writing (thanks, bad memory).  I'm certainly not saying that it wasn't a big part of my life.  Otherwise, I wouldn't have made the decision to teach writing for a living.  But I do know I have had a LiveJournal for 10 years.  I do know I wrote songs in middle school.  I do know I wrote for my school newspaper in high school.  I do know I wrote a few papers in college that I felt proud of.  I know that writing has been a huge part of my life.  But when?  What specific moments created me into the writer that I am today?  Why am I still writing?

I've divided my history up into 5 parts:  Four sections for each year in high school (all pivotal years in my writing history) and one section for college (my biggest influence so far in how I've developed my writing style).  I hope readers enjoy how I've decided to present my history, through different genres and multimedia outlets.  I'm excited to introuduce myself to you in a creative, fun and personal way in an open forum.  Enjoy and get inspired to write!
